We finally got our radio ads made and they are being aired right now. Click the
links to listen. Print execution coming soon...

Vodafone 2 for 2 Pub

Its been a busy few weeks with lots of briefs coming in and lots of late nights at
work. It's good to be busy, and with only a few weeks left at Colenso we are trying to get as much work done as possible.

We have really got into the swing of things and learnt more about how to present work, and how to approach different briefs.

It's been a good week for us starting with a few new briefs with more scope for creativity. We showed our road safety ideas to the ECD and got a thumbs up which was great. Yesterday we got another Vodafone brief, this time for an international calls offer, a couple of ideas went to client today so we'll find out how things went tomorrow. We've also been given an interesting brief for Random House Publishers encouraging Kiwis to buy new releases for christmas and support the local economy. Competition work for the Young Guns call for entries is coming along well. We'll be posting work as soon as possible but meanwhile we've got a few more pics.

First ad in print (and a few lessons learned about working with clients). Hello real world.

Weekend trip to Rotorua thermal springs. Quite the smelly place.

We have been at Colenso BBDO for a couple of weeks now. Long enough to get a couple of ads published, albeit small ones. We have started to learn the ways of the office and how working on a project really goes. The client has the final say, which can be pretty frustrating when they start piling on the mandatory additions.

We have sat in on a recording for a radio ad and a TVC and have also been shown how to present ideas to client and Creative Directors.

Colenso run a program called 'Bacon Factory'. This is where creative briefs are released for everyone, which means that if we come up with the best solution then our ad could be made. This is a great way to get some inspiration and show what you can do on some good creative briefs.

This week we have been working on ideas for a competition called 'Young Guns', as well as branding a new yoghurt strictly for men and brainstorming some road safety campaigns. Pictures are on the way.

We save the traveling for the weekends, renting a car for a couple of days at a time. This weekend we went to the Coromandel, North East of Auckland. The weather was good and we finally got to see some of New Zealand! have a browse.

Men, Sea and trees. Enjoy.

Next stop, New Zealand

After sweating for 3 days, it was nice to land in a more temperate climate. Although after a few days of New Zealand's spring we miss the heat. City life is pretty spacious compared with Hong Kong. We haven't had a lot of time to explore the great outdoors just yet but heres a couple of pictures to keep you up to speed.

Moon cake festival was approaching. We found these cakes in G.O.D. (Goods of desire), a twist on the usual moon cakes you can get your hands on.

G.O.D. is known for taking iconic, traditional Chinese designs and finding modern uses for them. We think they're worth a browse: www.god.com.hk
